I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.

I was my Dr. first patient to take them when they came out in prescription only as Xenical. That was 9 yrs ago. I lost 70 Lbs and have kept it off. I still use them on a maintenance dose only I stay off fats. My cholesterol went from 350 down to 154. So it more than stops the metabolism of fats, it lowers your cholesterol too. That makes sense since you are not having all the fat in arteries. It is approved by the FDA, in fact the only diet pill approved by them. One word of caution. People are saying you will be in the bathroom all day, Not true, If it were so, I sure wouldn't be taking them for 9 yrs and counting. If you feel gas, you know what I mean, don't assume that's what it is, then use the bathroom because the fat has to come out somewhere. You have to use your head that's all. Do you want to loose weight safely and have an occasional gas problem, or do you want to go on other diet pills that are dangerous? Read up on the pros and cons and decided. I would choose Alli over everything, any day.
