Do people think information gotten from waterboarding torture is like medical data gotten from Nazi prisoners?
Why is it OK to use German medical experiements on polish and jews yet also OK to use information from torturing prisoners?
Legally, per US law and per international law, what we did to the Gitmo prisoners was not torture.

Just thought you might want to informed of the facts.
DId the Nazis did experiments on the Jews to torture them or for the medical purpose?
Are there any websites that covers the following question:

Were the results of the test used after the war?
What were some defects that resulted from testing?
Well, it was some of both, in their minds, I guess; although forced participation in painful experiments cannot be anything but torture, in anyone's mind, and surely even they knew that experiments to change someone's eye color was not going to be a boon to the world, even if they succeeded, which they didn't.

Lots of experiments had to do with hypothermia and exposure to different air pressure levels to be used to develop ways to protect soldiers and sailors, etc.

The main ones sought after the war were the data from that place in China, Base 751 or something like that, where POWs and Chinese citizens were used to test exposure to diseases and poisons for use in germ warfare and shot and exposed to bomb blasts for other tests.

The Americans wanted that data so badly that they pardoned the head of the institution, who had conducted live dissections on subjects without anesthesia and left others to die untreated from gross injuries and diseases just to study the results. After he struck his deal with the Americans he returned to Japan and worked for a pharmaceutical company and died an old, rich, respected man.

The greatest defect suffered by most of the subjects was death; some of the minor ones were sterilization, brain damage, deafness, blindness, scarring, etc.
How can I find a medical center in New York that treats victims of torture?
I know there is one in New York but I have no idea of any way to get in contact.
Please look in the very front of the telephone book for the helpline, call it and it is also one for abuse. That's the one you will be looking for.
Did america do medical torture on any1?
did american torture people like the nazi an asians in unit 731 like did they inject and desect people while they were still alive
One well known example of medical abuse (though it wasn't torture and did not involve actually *giving* people a disease) was the Tuskegee Study of untreated syphilis on black males.
Medical School & animal torture?
To become a psychiatrist.

Do Medical students have to practice on animals like dogs, cats and/or MONKEYS? inject them drugs, see their reactions and inflict pain on them to learn their body parts or to see drug reactions on them? basically torturing them? what about euthanizing them?

I hope not but I NEED TO KNOW.

any experience you can share with me?
lol.. Dream of Doll really got mad about something... I found that people online are awfully bright and experienced in this forum. Jeez, I guess you never know when someone's gonna blow a gasket.
You took us to another war, failed to close our torture camp, failed on delivering basic medical coverage.....?
failed to give America new jobs that pay a livable wage, failed to provide a transparent government, and you cut the god damn moon rocket.

Why on Earth would I vote for you again?
Lets see here, Bush's put together NAFTA and the FTA and outsourced all our good jobs. Took us to war in Iraq a 2nd time when Osama attacked us (still cant figure that one out). Took our economy to hell and now after mid terms voted to end social services and special education. Reason enough to oust all the republicans and tea party!
When I decide to have a baby, do I have to endure medical "torture"?
I am so excited to one day be a mother. I am unfortunately against most hospital care, and I am petrified of needles. I am a naturalist, so I believe out bodies are built to handle certain circumstances. But I hate to say it, I am a small person. I am 5' 5", and only 107 lbs (high metabolism). I know I will gain weight during pregnancy, so it shouldn't be too complicated.
I am thinking of an at-home birth, since it is less stress on me (I stress easily). I have a very LOW pain tolerance, so am also wondering what I could do that's needle free to help with pain and complications.
Thank you!
if you are having a home birth...midwife or a doula should be able to help you. Tub births are something to look at as well.

that is all I can think of...good luck
Why do they torture students to do a degree before medical school in the US?
My cousin goes to the UK and she doesn't understand why the US tortures their students by making a bachelor's degree a prerequisite for medical school. She says in the UK they don't waste time. She says it takes 6 years to get your MD. The first two years involve biology, chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physics, calculus, english and some electives. Then you take a test and if you pass you move on to the remaining four years, which she claims is exactly the same as the US, with two years of learning and then two years of clinical rotations. She also says they go to school year round and that it's the better option since it brings them closer to the MD so that they can specialize sooner. Additionally, residency takes the same amount of time as the US.
She says she has roommates and friends from the US who did engineering and english and even computer science, and they're pissed because they realized all the advanced math and physics they learned for their bachelor's aren't really going to be used again, and that while they finish medical school in 8 years versus 6 years, the 6 year students learn exactly what they need, nothing extra (other than a few general requirements).
She says the only people who should be doing bachelor's degrees and then going to medical school are those who want to become MD/PhD researchers or those doing a degree in biochemistry, biology or chemistry and learning a second language at the same time. She finished becoming an anesthesiologist at 30 and says she was able to use those extra two years to set up her practice and has currently made at least 200 000 US dollars a year for the last three years (she's 35 now).
So, US medical students, do you agree that doing the bachelor's in say something other than a science before medical school is a waste of time?
There are advantages to both systems. I don't agree that the USA system of requiring a Bachelor's degree leads to better physicians. UK physicians are plenty well-educated — perhaps because secondary schooling tends to be better. USA university students have to catch up...

The main disadvantage to early selection for Med School is that students are forced to make a decision for Medicine very early, while still in High School, before they've sorted themselves out.

The main disadvantage for late selection for Medical School (and over-specialization in residency) is that the medical care system becomes very expensive. It costs much more to educate a typical physician in the USA than in the UK, but there is no corresponding improvement in medical care outcomes.
How do I comfortably communicate with someone who use to torture me in the past?
I just got a new job in the medical field where I see hundreds of people a day. The job is in the same area where I grew up and went to high school. I know at some point I'll come in contact with some guys that use to torture me in high school. I wanna know how to communicate with them without seeming bitter or revengeful are like Im still hurt by it. How do I show them (without actually saying) it's ok we were just .
Did they serve any jail time?

Why show them it's ok? It's not. Ignore them, pretend they don't exist and you don't know them, unless they engage you. If they start anything, unleash hell.
